MTS is a brewpub and owner Jim Holton received approval for a second license, one for a microbrewery, so he can bottle and sell his beer to other establishments. The micro is known as Mount Pleasant Brewing Company and began bottling early in 2008.

Tri-City Brewing

2030 Water Street in Bay City.

Status: Open

The Tri-City microbrewery opened on January 17, 2007. It has a 15 bbl Bohemian Monoblock brewhouse. Brewmaster, and primary investor, Kevin Peil is a graduate of The Doemens Academy of Brewing in Munich, Germany. He brews a full line of beers. In 2006 and 2007 Tri-City brewed a house ale for the Great Lakes Loons, Midland's Class A baseball team.

Lumber Baron's Charcoal Grill and Brewpub

Status: Open

Brewer Marty Rapnicki has a wide selection of beers on tap. The brewhouse is a 15 bbl DME. Lumber Baron's opened spring 2006 at the location of former Hereford & Hops Restaurant & Brewpub downtown.

Mount Pleasant Brewing

microbrewery, so he can bottle and sell his beer to other establishments. He began bottling early in 2008 and opened a new facility with a tasting room in the fall of 2009 on West Pickard Street.

Hometown Cellars Brewing

Status: Open

Located in central Michigan, Hometown Cellars is primarily a winery, but also makes a full range of beers on a one-barrel system. They have a tasting room and growlers are available.
