Mountain Town Station MTS is a brewpub and owner Jim Holton recently received approval for a second license, one for a microbrewery, so he can bottle and sell his beer to other establishments. The micro will be known as Mount Pleasant Brewing Company and expects to begin bottling by January 1, 2008.

Tri-City Brewing, 2030 Water Street, Bay City, MI; microbrewery; 15 bbl Bohemian Monoblock brewhouse; opened Jan. 17, 2007; brewing Phoenix Golden Ale, an alt, which is named for the old Phoenix Brewery in Bay City which closed in 1951. Phelan Irish Red will debut on June 14. Brewmaster, and primary investor, Kevin Peil is a graduate of The Doemens Academy of Brewing in Munich, Germany. Peil has ordered a bottling line and anticipates a November 2007 installation.
